HENG YING 应姮

Hi, welcome to my website! I’m a philosopher working at the intersection between moral psychology, moral and political philosophy, and philosophy of science. I have written on moral progress, moral reasoning, moral change, and value conflict. I obtained my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Hong Kong.

Previously I was Visiting Graduate Scholar in the Department of Philosophy at Washington University in St. Louis. Before coming to Hong Kong, I did my master in Philosophy and Public Policy at LSE. I also studied International Politics and English Literature in the past. I grew up in the Yangtze River Delta region of China.

Most of my works examine moral psychology, moral agency, and their implications for social and moral issues. I’m also very interested in neuroscience and discussions in philosophy of biological and human sciences, e.g., philosophy of psychiatry.
